For those of you who don't know, the Twilight Saga is a story about a 17 year old girl, Bella Swan, who falls in love with a handsome and deadly vampire, Edward Cullen. However, their relationship thrusts them into a deadly game of betrayal, destruction, and sorrow, as they fight the forces that threaten to tear their love apart.

Let me tell you a little bit about Urban Fantasy. Urban Fantasy is essentially the telling of a fictional story, often with magical elements, that is its own world mashed in with ours. Urban Fantasy is quickly becoming a hot genre in reading circles, and it also happens to be the genre of the saga I choose to discuss with you today, the Twilight Saga.
To say the least, it is a romance series. Most of you would shy away at this point, but feel comfortable, as I am not much of a romance-lover, I think. The reason that I harbor doubts on my dislike of romance is because this series changed me and the way I look at literature. It takes all the will I have right now not to burst forth with tumultuous amounts of praise. That would ruin the post. Instead I have decided to write a nice, composed critique on what could quite possibly be the best collection of novels on earth that my hands have been blessed to hold.
Awww... screw it.
Twilight is the most amazing collection of papers ever to befall my eyes. I have never before felt so attached to a particular novel. I laughed, I cried, and I burned the midnight oil just to be with the characters of this beloved saga. The author's style seems to reach out to you, to embrace you, and then drag you into the maelstrom of love, war, and terror that is Twilight. Funny that paper could bring one into such a state, but it will.
Twilight seems to carve out a niche in the reading market with the most scandalous romantic subject that is available. Falling in love with a vampire. Ooey-gooey as it may seem, Twilight doesn't fail to disappoint readers that crave for action, as the obvious barriers presented in the story only lead to the beginning of the heart pounding action that doubtlessly exceeds the point thought only to be reachable by novels and movies such as Romeo & Juliet, and Saving Private Ryan.
In summary, the Twilight series hold no lack of romance, terror, heartbreak, and any gimmicks that could possibly be dreamed of in a vampire romance. In the end you'll be left not wanting, but crying for more of this addictive saga. I know I was.
